hair: Hairstory x The Regimen

"I'll never be picture perfect Beyonce, fly like J.Lo or singing "baby" like 'Shanti. I barely comb my hair and yea thats on a good day. I dont care what the hood say."

I've been natural for much of my life. I had my first relaxer when I was a 12. I nagged my mom for it, but it was painful and afterward my hair just layed flat (boring) I quickly lost my enthusiasm for it. I would let it grow out, and then relax again. I did that several times, I probably had my hair relaxed in total for about 5 years on and off. My last relaxer was in the Fall of 2007. I cut off the relaxed ends in August of 2008 and that was it. Ever since Its been trial and error, finding products that work because every head is different, I find beauty in the uniqueness.

Full Disclosure: I'm the laziest person when it comes to my hair, I just let it do what it do. I'm not talented in this arena in no way shape for form. I do basic plaits, braids, 2 strand twist and maybe a 2 strand flat twist. I just recently learned how to do a fishtail braid but that’s were it ends.
